AI consulting & implementation

Making artificial intelligence make sense.

Artificial intelligence is changing business at extraordinary speed.

But there’s a huge difference between having access to AI and knowing how to make AI produce meaningful results for your organization.

That’s where I come in.

I bring more than 45 years of hands-on experience with computers, information technology, computer science, coding, systems and website development, combined with decades of experience in sales, business, coaching and working directly with end users.

Today, I apply that experience to Artificial Intelligence, Generative AI, Prompt Engineering, AI Agent Development, Workflow Automation and AI-Assisted Business Transformation.

But perhaps my greatest value isn’t simply understanding the technology.

I speak both languages.

TECHHUMAN

The bridge between technology and business

For decades, I’ve watched the same problem repeat itself inside organizations.

  • The IT department

    understands the technology.

  • The executives

    understand the business objectives.

  • The employees

understand what actually happens every day.

But those three groups don’t always understand each other.

I’ve spent decades helping bridge that gap.

I can sit with developers and discuss systems, logic, architecture, integrations, databases, APIs, automation and technical limitations — and then walk into a meeting with executives, salespeople or end users and explain the same project in language that actually makes sense to them.

And it works in the opposite direction.

I can listen to an employee explain:

This part of my job takes me three hours every Monday and drives me crazy.

…and translate that business problem into a question for technology:

Can we automate this?

That ability to translate between business needs, human behavior and technical possibilities has become even more valuable in the age of AI.

AI should solve problems — not create new ones.

There’s enormous pressure on businesses right now to “get into AI.” That’s the wrong starting point.

The first question shouldn’t be

How do we use AI?

It should be

What problems are we trying to solve?

Then we determine whether AI is actually the right tool.

  • Where are employees performing repetitive work?
  • Where are customers waiting unnecessarily?
  • Where is information difficult to find?
  • Where are opportunities being lost?
  • Where are people repeatedly writing the same emails, reports, proposals or documents?
  • Where are employees spending time searching through information that AI could retrieve in seconds?
  • What processes could be simplified?
  • What could be automated?
  • What still needs a human being?

Those questions form the foundation of my approach to AI consulting — identifying valuable use cases, creating an actionable roadmap, integrating AI into actual workflows and driving employee adoption rather than simply experimenting with technology.

From AI curious to AI capable

Organizations are at dramatically different stages of AI adoption. Some are asking one question. Others are asking a very different one.

Some are asking

What exactly is ChatGPT?

Others are asking

How can we build AI agents that interact with our existing systems and perform multi-step workflows?

I can meet your organization where it is today.

How I can help

AI Strategy & Readiness

Before buying another piece of software, let’s determine what you actually need.

I can help organizations identify potential AI use cases, evaluate existing processes, prioritize opportunities, assess readiness and develop a practical AI roadmap based on business value rather than hype.

Prompt Engineering

The quality of an AI system’s output can depend enormously on the instructions, context and structure it receives.

I help individuals and organizations develop better prompting methodologies, reusable prompt frameworks, AI instructions and workflows designed to produce more consistent, useful and repeatable results.

It’s not simply about discovering a magical sentence to type into a chatbot. It’s about learning how to communicate effectively with AI systems.

AI Agents & Agentic Workflows

The next evolution of AI goes beyond asking a chatbot a question.

AI agents can potentially be designed to reason through tasks, work through multiple steps, use approved tools and information sources, and participate in business workflows with appropriate human oversight.

I can help identify where agents make sense, conceptualize and develop agentic solutions, and determine where human approval and control should remain part of the process.

AI Workflow Automation

Some of the greatest opportunities aren’t flashy. They’re repetitive.

AI can potentially assist with research, documentation, communications, customer support, content development, sales preparation, knowledge retrieval, data organization, reporting and other recurring processes.

The objective isn’t automation for automation’s sake. Give people back their time — so human beings can spend more time thinking, creating, communicating, building relationships and making important decisions.

AI Training & Employee Adoption

You can purchase incredible technology and accomplish absolutely nothing if your employees don’t understand it, trust it or know when to use it.

That’s why implementation is only half the challenge. Adoption matters. I can work with executives, departments, teams and individual employees to make AI understandable and practical — without drowning nontechnical people in technical terminology.

Technology Translation & Implementation

The work of turning a business problem into something that can actually be built.

We identify the problem. We examine the workflow. We find the opportunity. We determine the appropriate technology. We help people understand it. And then we put it to work.

Human + AI

I don’t believe the objective should simply be

How many people can AI replace?

I’m much more interested in

How much better can our people become with AI?

Imagine giving:

  • A great salesperson better preparation
  • A manager faster access to information
  • A customer-service representative better tools
  • A business owner hours of their week back
  • A marketing department an extraordinary brainstorming partner
  • An employee who isn’t technical the ability to communicate an idea and participate in creating something they previously couldn’t build themselves

That’s where AI becomes transformative.

Human vs. Artificial Intelligence.

Human Intelligence + Artificial Intelligence.

45+ years of technology — and the human experience to go with it.

I’ve watched computing evolve across generations.

Years with technology, systems, coding and websites
45+Years with technology, systems, coding and websites
Years in sales and business
40+Years in sales and business
Years coaching people
35+Years coaching people
Years speaking to audiences
25+Years speaking to audiences

I’ve built websites, written code, solved technical problems, worked with end users, communicated with IT departments, written books, built businesses and spent decades explaining complicated ideas to people who don’t necessarily speak the language of technology.

AI brings all of those worlds together. And that’s exactly where I want to work.

You don’t need to become an AI expert.

You need someone who can help you understand what AI can actually do for you.

  • No unnecessary jargon.
  • No technology for technology’s sake.
  • No pretending every business problem requires artificial intelligence.
  • AI Strategy
  • AI Readiness
  • Prompt Engineering
  • AI Agent Development
  • Agentic Workflows
  • Workflow Automation
  • AI Training
  • Business Process Transformation
  • Technology Translation & Implementation

Let’s put AI to work for your business.

Whether you’re an individual professional, entrepreneur, small business, sales organization or established company, I can help you move from one sentence to another.

We should probably be doing something with AI.

Look what AI is helping us accomplish.
